Gratitude is something free and accessible to everyone. It is as simple as starting the day with a few simple phrases that will set you up for a happier and healthier day. It is shown to improve health, relationships and life goals. Each time you show positive gratitude, whether this is internally or to others, it releases positive feelings and emotions. Gratitude has also been shown to completely rewire anxious, stressed or depressed individuals without the need of medical intervention.

I start my day every morning with 5 simple phrases and have not looked back since.

  • I am grateful for the food that I eat.
  • I am grateful for the water that I drink.
  • I am grateful for the roof over my head.
  • I am grateful for my friends, family and loves ones.
  • I am grateful for my health.

Gratitude is not only simple phrases but also selfless gifting on sporadic occasions. This doesn’t necessarily mean to buy a gift for someone on their birthday, it means to randomly purchase something for an individual. An example of this could be at the coffee shop buying the persons coffee behind you. You don’t have to do this regularly however it is nice to incorporate this into your life.
